The Lenox Croquet Club is pleased to host the 2021 tournament after many years of absence. This will be a Two day tournament to be held on Saturday July 31st and Sunday August 1st. It is open to all croquet players who are either a full time or summer resident of Massachusetts or are members of a Massachusetts Croquet Club. Depending on the handicap range, and number of participants will determine the format for the tournament.
Practice is available Friday afternoon from 12 till dusk for those players who may wish to spend the night rather than travel the day of tournament. We are only 3 ½ hours from the farthest points in Massachusetts. The tentative format this year will be several flights of singles only games. We are projecting 3 to 4 games per day. This may be modified depending on number of players. Games are expected to start at 8am. Schedules and charts will be available Friday evening along with light refreshments. We will attempt to notify players who have 8am games vs. 9:30 games.
Recognition given for 1st and 2nd place players of each block. We will use 1 full court and two ¾ courts.
We will have coffee and pastry available at 7:45am, a staggered lunch time, plus toast and tally at the end of Saturdays games. Sunday final games will end with a BBQ Burgers, Hot Dogs and awards presentation.
The tournament entrance fee will be $125 per player and $50 for guests. Please respond as soon as possible and no later than July 23rd.
